Requirements

ScanFile can be run on a single workstation, or across a network on multiple clients. Detailed below are the base requirements and supported devices for implementing a ScanFile solution. You should always consult your ScanFile supplier for advice on the optimum configuration to suit your applications.

Server
  • MS Windows NT4 Server

Client/Workstation
Supported Operating Systems:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Computer with an Intel Pentium II 400MHz or equivalent
  • 64Mb RAM (Minimum)
  • MS Windows 98se
  • 100MB hard disk storage for application
  • SVGA compatible Monitor at 800x600
  • ASPI Compliant SCSI Adaptor (If attaching scanner)
  • Storage dependant upon each application and caching requirements

Recommended Minimum Specification:

  • Computer with an Intel Pentium 4 2GHz or equivalent
  • 256MB RAM
  • MS Windows XP Professional
  • 100MB hard disk storage for application
  • 17" Monitor, XGA at 1024x768 resolution
  • ASPI Compliant SCSI Adaptor (if attaching Scanner)
  • Storage dependant upon application and caching requirements

  • DCC TellerScan 400

AXIS 7000 Document Server *:

  • Using the Axis 7000 Document Server, a supported scanner need not be attached directly to a workstation, but can be directly attached to the network, but still controlled by ScanFile.

Kofax Support:

  • Support is added to ScanFile for any scanner which can be driven with the Kofax Adrenaline Image Processing board and ImageControls V3.

* Please note that these are ScanFile Options, and do not come as standard.

Storage
ScanFile document Folders can be stored on many different media types and delivery systems, the use of which will be dependant upon the type of application ScanFile is to be used for. Please see the FAQ's section for more information.
