Features

ScanFile has a host of standard features that allow you to design and create document storage folders, and then to scan and import documents to them. Search and document viewing tools are comprehensive. Integration with MS Office applications comes as standard, as does support for document revisions. Document import schedulers are provided in the standard application, in addition to the Wallet feature.

	Electronic Document Viewer	View any format document within ScanFile 2003. With over 200 document formats supported, including all MS Office documents, PDF, HTML and many others.

	Save Image Rotation	You can now alter and then save the orientation of a scanned page.

	Automatically opening Personal Hitlist	The Personal Hitlist can now be set to open automatically when a new document is received.

	Enhanced Remote Services	The TIFF Spooler scheduler has been enhanced to allow import from up to 8 locations, and can now import full text data from text files associated with the documents. An OCR scheduler has been added to Remote Services.

	Intuitive user interface	ScanFile has been designed from the outset with ease of use in mind.

	Flexible document storage design	Documents are stored to ScanFile Folders, which can be defined for the specific document types to be stored to each folder. ScanFile Folders support up to 10 fields, and each field can have properties assigned, such as Counting, Duplicating, Mandatory field, and Date field.

	Comprehensive security	Each ScanFile user can be granted or denied  access to any feature or option of ScanFile 2003, ScanFile WebServer and ScanFile RemoteStation Groups can also be created to manage the access rights for one or more users. In addition, the rights granted to a user or group of users can vary for each Folder or Library those users have access to.

	Colour & black & white scanner support	ScanFile has in-built, bespoke drivers for Canon document & microfilm scanners. TWAIN devices and the AXIS 7000 scanner server are also supported. Optional Kofax support can be added.

	Document revisions	Any page of a document can be revised. The newest version will be displayed first.

	Microsoft Office integration	This feature allows you to send MS Office documents, such as Word or Excel files, directly to ScanFile folders from within the Office applications. Document revisions are also supported from this feature.

	Comprehensive viewing tools	A comprehensive set of tools are available so you can see a document how you want to see it. Documents can be zoomed and rotated within the user-defined document viewer window. You can easily move from page to page or document to document, and thumbnail views of the pages within a document is supported.

	Document send to.. options	Documents held in ScanFile Folders can be selected and then sent to other ScanFile folder, to file on disk, or sent to Email.

	Document import schedulers	Any type of document saved to specified locations on disk can be scheduled to be imported automatically to ScanFile Folders.

	ScanFile Wallet	Documents can be saved to a ScanFile wallet, and then viewed within the separate - free - Wallet Viewer. This makes it easy for you to send documents to anyone without the need for them to have ScanFile.
